Changing Times Potty Talk

Few days back when  I was in Gurgaon I met few of my old IT friends ...amongst everything else one interesting topic of discussion was ..." How best one utilises his/her loo time"  before this I had never discussed this with anyone, used to always think its not a practice to be discussed publically :-)
When I was young I remember it was said that good ideas germinate in the loo...because its the time you get completely to yourself without any distractions and your mind is more at peace :-D

I personally am comfortable with clearing the backlog of not replied sms's, we had ppl who preferred to make the daily call to their girl frieds/ boy friends as otherwise you are busy with office work and cannot talk with ease, some might prefer catchig up with their emails/ chatting with friends..then there is a plethora of things which you can do with your tiny mobile phone!

Thanks to the advanced Gadgets for making things so simple...Kindly take note I'm not only talking about the wonderful mobile handsets ..but the hands free toilet spray system ( In India)/ the ever useful tissues anywhere else without which it would have been more difficult!

  3. Because of reasons more than one,the potential of OUTPUT from an individual is more at such an occassion. :-)

However seriously speaking, Undisturbed... the creative potential of an individual is at its peak. Your mind is impinged with only your thoughts and no other ripples/waves of distraction takes your fancy. The creative entity in you speaks ... but usually whispers, so you really really have to pay a keen ear to it to capture what it is saying. Silence and solitude are best setups to listen to what it is telling you. That ...but it is not a rule. In moments of frnzy creative stride can hit you unalarmed even at the busiest of places. And can keep coming to some again and again and again through the day, the week ,the month, the year or for chosen few.... their lifetime.

Since you are in a do not disturb zone, people in your local geography do not even mentally approach you ... ( most of the times )

But seriously... the Blog does push you to think how best you can consciously utilise the loo slot.

Since the loo slot is usually the morning stuff,my recomendation would be to use it to
    1. Plan your day
    2. Do some reflection on yesterday's to do list
    3. Chalk out efficient and effective ways to cross out the to do items

Truly speaking, so far I had a bias for the newspaper, but I think what I mentioned above would be a better way to invest in time. This way you have your calendar in place and you know exactly the slots and readiness to load them with errands / social interaction and share it with everyone.

Its time to say BOTTOMS UP. Cheers !

The latest planned adventure which I thought would start from 16th August 2011 has actually now itself can say from 13th August, has started showing its magnanimity and I just wonder what the actual 19 days would be like ..and thinking so the butterflies in my stomach have moved a little northwards and the feeling which I get is of a strange weight around my throat..similar to the one you get just before your very 1st date maybe ! Well the planned adventure is a 19 day Mountain biking(cycling) expedition from Kullu - Khardungla(Ladakh). Its a girls only thingy organised by YHAI. Where the mind is without fear & the head is held high....

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high , Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake !!! Excerpts from a poem of RabindraNath Tagore The 1st & the last line are the one which always stay in my mind..I guess they explain everything we all are striving for. I heard this poem 1st time when I was in school still donn remember in which class. Sr. Julia our english singing teacher made us sing this poem as a song and slowly it became the source of energy for me like many other things.I guess its a favourite one for you too as thats why you are reading my blog :) Well I don't want to discuss my views on this song over here , just wanted all to remember this song for a moment !!! Into that heaven of freedom dear God let everyone awake....

Wet - My longest single day cycling trip !

1st August 2011 A loop around amchi Mumbai, started early morning from Ghatkopar Garodia nagar with Pushpa Ji, my coach and friend who gave me not only physical but mental training too on strength and endurance. She had more confidence in me than me myself. It was for her I could participate and complete the YHAI cycling expedition to Khardung la, 18K ft, supposedly one of the highest motorable roads of the world. Cycling for 17 days 600 km from Kullu to Khardungla top and securing an entry in the Limca Book of World Records.  This was my training ride before embarking on our expedition which started on 14th August 2011. Ghatkopar-Eastern express highway - Thane - Ghodbandar-Borivali National Park - Kanheri Caves- JVLR-Powai -Vikroli -Ghatkopar It's monsoon in Mumbai, I remember being wet by the time we hit the eastern express highway (15 mins), it was a series of drying up and getting wet again. We had packed food (paranthas), around Thane I bought Anaar(pomogranates) from a roads...
